Ok, ok, they gave it an active valve tied to drive mode. That’s a bit trick, but let’s be real, a Type R should sound fierce, mean, deep, right?!Well, we found the stock exhaust to be lame (as you could tell) and we did not disappoint in delivering a brand-new system that is worthy of a true Type R. Just listen to this system below You want the highlights? Ok, we use 80MM piping (3.125 inches) and maintain that massive increase in cross sectional area all the way through to the Tips to deliver the performance you guys are craving. We also kept true to the ethos of 27WON and did not skimp on the small details either so you get thick 3 bolt flanges at each connection point and drop in fitment with all the hardware you’ll need for the right install the first time. You have the option to purchase this system as a catback or as a full turboback once again cementing 27WON as the only brand on the market putting forward a complete exhaust from turbo to tip. This is a bit nuts! You’re looking at a dyno plot below of a 100% stock FL5 on our Dynapack dyno before and after install of our catback exhaust system.The results? Peak WHP improved +6 and peak torque went up +8. But, that’s only part of the story. Check out the spread between 2000 and 3750 RPM. We saw massive gains of close to 20WHP in this area! That’s the grunt you feel on your butt dyno all day every day. What about the top end you say? Well, look at the 5500+RPM range. The 27WON exhaust simply runs away from the OEM exhaust here on its way to delivering a gain of +17WHP. With custom tuning you’ll eek out even more gains. And remember this is just the catback. Add in a downpipe and the gains are going to be even that much better!. What would a Type R be without its signature triple tip design? We kept true to the spirit of the OE design with a bold center tip being the focal point measuring in at almost 4.5 inches with 2 smaller ~4 inches tips at either side.Each tip is a polished 304SS dual-wall design that really complements your Civic Type R. You get to keep the OEM valve functionality that opens and closes the middle section of the axle-back for added loudness when you want it and a softer tone when you don’t. We found it important to maximize the benefit of an upgraded exhaust and you achieve this by removing as much of the restrictive stock exhaust as possible. That means scrapping the option to fit to the small OEM frontpipe in favor of a full 3.125-inch fitment. There is no restriction in pipe size to mate to the OE frontpipe. You asked and we delivered.

R660AS Antisurge / T51R RED Ball Bearing Turbo Kit for 2017+ Honda Civic Type R [FK8]

After almost 2 years of development and 3 revisions we are happy to offer a Antisurge/T51R Mod compressor cover with a carbon fiber inlet for the R660. This compressor cover will need to use a RV6 inlet pipe and elbow to function properly due to larger size. The inlet pipe is only compatible with PRL race/big bore MAF housing. Our main goal of the R660 RED was to develop a robust and reliable turbocharger. First step to this was ditching the stock sized TD04 format. The TD04 design is popular amongst OE turbochargers for its small compact size and quick response. However trying to squeeze more than 400HP from such a small turbo is difficult to do reliably and comes at the cost of shortened life. In order to achieve our goals we needed to over build and upsize everything.We built the R660 around a TD05 bearing housing. The TD05 bearing housing is about twice the size of the TD04. This allowed us to use a full sized 8mm ceramic ball bearing for quick spool and increased thrust loads. In order to keep everything cool and reliable. We oversized the coolant passages and used -10AN coolant lines ample cooling.With a larger TD05 bearing housing we were able to implement a turbine housing with an A/R of 0.81. This significantly reduces the amount of back pressure between the turbo and engine. The solve many issues with unstable boost and overheating.For the compressor and turbine wheels, we chose the newest technology with FEA optimized blade designs. The compressor wheel is a lightweight point milled forged billet design. While Inconel turbine wheels and shafts are normal with OE turbochargers. We know these turbos will be subjected to some of the harshest conditions. At great expense we chose a MAR-M Super Alloy turbine wheel and shaft. This super alloy can tolerate higher temperatures and loads. HEL Performance Thermostatic Oil Cooler Kit for 2023+ Honda Civic Type R FL5 / Acura Integra Type S DE5 2.0T

Introducing our new direct fit oil cooler for the all-new 2023-onwards Honda FL5 Civic Type R. The HEL (Automotive) Development Centre has been working on this kit since we purchased our own FL5 to work on. We’ve spent a lot of time developing this one and are happy with the outcome. Unlike the FK2 Civic Type R and much like the FK8, there were not a great deal of options for where an oil cooler could go on the FL5. After 3D scanning the front end we decided on the left side of the grille area which is in direct airflow and doesn’t hinder airflow to anything else. A 16 Row Setrab Series 6 ProLine oil cooler oil cooler is used in this kit. The 16 row option gives a great balance between minimising pressure loss while giving very effective cooling. At the other end our cooler we opted for our latest Multi Angled Billet Thermostatic sandwich plate. The front mounted thermostat gives extra clearance on this kit where space around the oil filter is limited. Using this plate also has 2 spare ports which allow you to fit temperature and pressure sensors if required. HEL Performance Multi Angled Billet thermostatic sandwich plate set at 92°C (197.6°F). We've found the 92°C option gives you the perfect balance between cooling when needed and letting the engine warm up safely. It's also dangerous for the oil to be too cold and the thermostat controls the temperature with precision. This comprehensive kit come complete with preassembled high flow AN10 HEL braided hoses and anodised aluminium fittings and all fixings/brackets which use OE pickups and requires no drilling/modifications on the car at all. The hoses are protected with abrasion-resistant heat shrunk braided sleeving which aids also with noise and rattle suppression. This direct-fit kit offers a safe and reliable cooling system for the FL5 Type R. It comes complete with easy-to-understand instructions and our technical support team are always happy to answer any questions you may have.
