Tiffen 44STRK2 Overview The 4 x 4" Streak 2mm Filter from Tiffen is a special effects filter designed to render a single light ray from a point light source. This filter features a single series of etched lines spaced 2mm apart from each other, which run diagonally across the filter surface. When the filter is rotated, the orientation of the light ray can be adjusted to suit your composition or desired effect. The filter is constructed from clear optical-grade glass for maintained image clarity and measures 4 x 4" / 101.6 x 101.6mm. Etched lines spaced 2mm apart produce a single ray of light from point light sources, strong highlights, reflective materials, or metallic surfaces. Filter can be rotated to adjust the orientation of the light streak. Optical glass construction and clear filter substrate help to maintain the original image quality and do not affect the overall color or contrast.

The Tiffen 6.6 x 6.6" 1 Low Contrast Filter works to lessen contrast across the image by creating a small amount of controlled flare near highlight areas. This enables greater detail to be attained in shadow regions, while unaffecting the values of highlights, in order to produce lower apparent contrast. This filter is ideal for use during midday and other high contrast lighting situations when it is difficult to control both overexposed highlights and underexposed shadows. The 1 density provides less contrast adjustment than the 2 density, but more than the 1/2 density filter.Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 6.6 x 6.6" / 167.6 x 167.6mm.Ideal for use during midday and other high contrast lighting situations when it is difficult to control both overexposed highlights and underexposed shadows.Lower contrast results in greater shadow detail when properly exposed.
