Thriller Hybrid Squash Seeds

Thriller Hybrid Squash Seeds

Days to Maturity: 80 to 85 direct sow All-America Selections (AAS) Edible Vegetable Winner 2025 An ornamental edible, Thriller is a unique winter squash that's as artful as it is delicious, perfect for dinner or decor. As a dumpling squash, the fruits are dainty, weighing about 1 to 2 pounds each, with a flat and round shape. This 'carnival' type thrills with intriguing swirls of yellow-cream and dark green variegated color and bright orange highlights and ribs. The flesh is dense and has a rich orange color and remarkable flavor—creamy, sweet, and nutty—especially when roasted. But these little cuties are also a great option for stuffing. Winter squash is a perfect addition to a healthy meal: it's high in fiber, protein, magnesium, potassium, vitamins B6 and C as well as in beta carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin. A Cucurbita pepo cultivar, commonly called winter squash or dumpling squash, Thriller is a fruit vegetable and member of the cucurbit family (Cucurbitaceae). This herbaceous annual has a compact, semi-bushy to trailing habit, reaching about 15 inches tall and 36 inches wide at full maturity. Thriller is high yielding, with each plant producing about 8 fruits—plenty for sharing. Harvest plants when the squashes are bright green and cream with just a little orange still visible. Thriller squash is resistant to powdery mildew and easy to grow from seed, growing best in a sunny spot with fertile, organically rich, medium moist, well-drained soil. These heavy producing plants appreciate regular fertilization. Water consistently but avoid over watering. Thriller winter squash is a warm-season vegetable, sensitive to cold temperatures and frost. The seeds can be direct sown into warm spring soil after all danger of frost has passed, spacing plants 36 inches apart. But they can also be started indoors about 3 weeks before transplanting. Flowers begin to set fruit with day temperatures between 68° and 72°F and night temperatures between 60° and 65°F. Protect squash plants if temperatures are expected to dip below 50°F and use row covers for added protection if heavy frost is expected. Mulch around Thriller squash plants to moderate soil temperature and maintain soil moisture. For starting Thriller squash seeds indoors, there's nothing better than the Bio Dome. Bio Dome creates a Goldilocks effect, with the perfect temperature, light, and soil mix, ensuring your seeds become strong for transplant.

The plant sets small "perfect" flowers, followed by big, uniform, fleshy pink tomatoes, weighing in at 11 ounces. Early maturing, the meaty, crack-resistant fruit has the look and flavor of an heirloom. The flavor is a delicious balance between sweet and acidic. Typically grown as an annual, Pink Delicious, an herbaceous tender perennial, is a member of the nightshade family (Solanaceae), which contains plants that typically grow in temperate to tropical regions. A vigorous indeterminate variety, often called a "vining" tomato, Pink Delicious requires staking or caging for support. Blossoms and fruit continue to develop as the vine grows, so, it bears an impressive amount fruit over the course of a season. Pink Delicious grows best in full sun and moist, humusy, deep, fertile loams. It has a high resistance to fusarium wilt Fol:1,2; gray leaf spot Sbl,Sl,Ss; tomato mosaic virus ToMV:0-2; and verticillium wilt Va:1/Vd:1. It has intermediate resistance to tomato yellow leaf curl virus TYLCV and root-knot Ma,Mi,Mj. Self-pollinating, the plant will bear fruit without any pollen from other varieties. A warm-season vegetable, sensitive to cold temperatures and frost, tomato seed should be direct sown into warm spring soil after all threat of frost has passed. Seeds can also be started indoors about 8 weeks before transplanting to the garden. Flowers begin to set fruit with night temperatures between 55 and 75°F. Protect plants with row covers if temperatures are expected to dip below 50°F. Mulching helps to moderate soil temperature and to maintain soil moisture. If you plan to start your seeds indoors, be sure to check out our Bio Dome Seed Starter Kit. Moon Lagoon Eucalyptus Seeds

Moon Lagoon Eucalyptus Seeds

Moon Lagoon Eucalyptus is a small shrub primarily grown as a cut-foliage plant for its florist-quality stems of aromatic leaves. This finely textured shrub has silvery green-grey juvenile leaves, similar to Eucalyptus cinerea, but smaller. Immature boughs are harvestable for foliage decoration or for additions to floral arrangements, fresh and dried. This Eucalyptus latens variety, commonly called fine leaved mallee or moon lagoon, has an upright habit. It makes an excellent specimen in the landscape or in a container. Grown in the landscape, moon lagoon can grow quite large, reaching a mature height of 20 feet tall in optimal conditions, but it can be pruned to maintain any desired size, and heavy pruning will also maintain the coveted juvenile foliage. Grown in a container, the plant will be much smaller. An Australian native, eucalyptus is most at home in Mediterranean climates. It is an easy-grow, easy-care plant that performs best in a sunny location with average to moderately fertile, moist, well-draining soil. The plant is drought tolerant and deer resistant.

Iris Stairway to Heaven Bearded Iris

Iris Stairway to Heaven Bearded Iris

Iris Stairway to Heaven is a magnificent tall bearded iris that reaches just over 3 feet in height, blooming brilliantly from late spring to early summer. This profuse bloomer boasts 8 to 10 buds per stem, each unfurling into large, billowy flowers. The blooms feature perfectly white standards and lavender-blue falls, creating a stunning visual contrast that catches the eye. Ideal for creating breathtaking bouquets, these flowers also add a picturesque touch to your garden with their beauty, complemented by sword-shaped blue-green foliage. This iris attracts a variety of pollinators, including beloved butterflies, enhancing the charm of your outdoor space. As an Iris germanica cultivar, Stairway to Heaven is a rhizomatous semievergreen perennial with an upright, spreading habit. Over time, it multiplies to form large, impressive clumps. This bearded iris excels in adding color and structure to mixed beds, borders, and foundation plantings. They truly shine when grouped, massed, or planted in sweeping drifts in naturalized areas, offering a striking visual impact that transforms any landscape. Naturally hardy and low-maintenance, bearded irises like Stairway to Heaven thrive in sunny to partially shady locations that receive 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight daily. They adapt well to various garden soils as long as they are well-draining, preferring a neutral to slightly acidic pH between 6.1 and 7.2. While consistent moisture is essential, it is important to avoid soggy conditions to prevent rhizome rot. An annual application of fertilizer, such as Espoma Organic® Flower-tone® Blossom Booster, about 6 weeks before the expected bloom cycle, will enhance their performance. Once established, these irises are drought and heat tolerant, as well as deer and rabbit resistant, making them a resilient and beautiful addition to your garden.

Sustainability Score

62%
Park Seed shows moderate commitment to sustainability through their seed preservation efforts and some eco-friendly packaging initiatives. However, they lack transparency in their supply chain practices and environmental impact reporting. While they promote natural gardening methods, there's limited information about their corporate environmental policies and labor practices. Their commitment to non-GMO seeds is positive, but they could improve their overall sustainability communication and certification standards.
