This battery charger uses a coaxial (or "barrel") connector and has been optimized for use with Lithium-ion batteries. For a longer life of your scooter charger, please handle it carefully and store in a safe, dry location when not in use. As electric scooters are predominantly used outdoors, many times the delicate electronics of these types of electric scooter chargers cannot withstand a drop on concrete or asphalt. In addition, Lithium batteries like that used on the Hover-1 Comet electric scooter should never be recharged with a standard battery charger made for Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries. Doing so could seriously damage the scooter's Lithium battery
