Burning the vines produces a range of velvety gray sticks of charcoal in a range of different hardnesses, from extra soft to hard.Grumbacher Vine Charcoal is soft, crumbles as you sketch, and is easy to erase. The vine sticks are approximately 5-3/4" long and .25" (.635 cm) in diameter. Because the charcoal is natural and contains no binding agents, it can easily break if you don't handle it gently.
