As a result, we sometimes have products come off our assembly line that do not meet our quality standards. We label these “Factory Seconds”. For those who are less concerned with aesthetics and more concerned with getting a great deal, we have listed these plates for you.These Factory Seconds are 100% functional and safe to use. They were rejected during the manufacturing process due to aesthetic imperfections in the product. Aesthetic imperfections could include, but are not limited to: incomplete bonding of small rubber parts due to degassing (causing small bubbles on the surface of the plate), large blemishes, discolorations, or any other general aesthetic imperfection. The plates will weigh the stated amount but may have thickness variance from the standard stated size. Plates may also have colored fleck differing from plate to plate and may also not have the same wording/branding from plate to plate. Lastly, stainless steel collars may be slightly split on the ends. This occurs around 0.5% due to the high pressures we use to ensure the collars stay in each plate. These plates are still 100% safe and functional. We will warranty the collars from further splitting or removal from the plates for up to 1 YEAR.
