The Kimber® Micro™ 9 ESV is right at the minimum size and weight for a semi-auto pistol chambered in 9mm, providing a slim, lightweight concealed carry gun chambered in a battle-proven cartridge. The overall weight of the Micro 9 ESV is kept to a minimum with a ported, stainless steel slide and an aluminum frame. (Barrel is not ported.) Both slide and frame feature a KimPro II Gray finish. The match-grade, stainless steel barrel has a durable, rose/copper TiCN coating. Ball-mill rear cocking serrations facilitate getting a good hold on the slide for loading or clearing the weapon. A checkered front strap and main-spring housing, and Altamont, checkered G10 grip panels enhance shooting control, especially on follow up shots. Standard night sights provide instant sight acquisition under a wide range of lighting situations. The Micro 9 semi-automatic pistol utilizes a single-action trigger for enhanced accuracy potential, and an intuitive 1911-style thumb safety. The slide release and magazine release also operate the same as a 1911.
